US media industry leaders celebrate ID Comms expansion to the US

Management consultancy ID Comms marked the opening of its New York office with a reception at The British Ambassador's Residence in the city last night.

The company, which was founded by Tom Denford and David Indo, was also given an official welcome to the city by Antony Phillipson, the British Consul General and Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America.

The company’s expansion was toasted by a host of US media leaders, including Association of National Advertisers Group Executive Vice President Bill Duggan as well as agency leaders and many of the company’s US-based clients.

The company has handled many of the world’s biggest media agency reviews this year. In addition to the LVMH review, which just covered the US and Canada, the company has advised on Mars, HSBC, Puma and GSK global reviews, all of which combined invest more than $1bn in the US.

“We’re very excited to be launching in New York and thrilled that all our friends from all sides of the media industry and advertiser community have been so welcoming and encouraging of our efforts. We’ve been working with many US-based marketers since we founded ID Comms in 2009 but with our new offices in New York we will be able to help even more make the most of the opportunity that media provides,” said Tom Denford, North America CEO of ID Comms.
“Many of our regional and global clients already invest heavily in the US so we already have huge exposure to the unique characteristics of the media market and we are delighted to be able to bring our insight and understanding of how best to ensure that agency and advertiser are true partners here on a permanent basis,” said David Indo, Group CEO of ID Comms.

ID Comms was founded in London in 2009 and has grown rapidly. It has advised on more than $50bn worth of marketing investment and works with leading brands across most categories. Its clients include Mars, Inc., L'Oréal, ABInBev, P&G, Suntory, IKEA, LVMH, GSK, Estée Lauder, Deutsche Telekom, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Virgin Atlantic, Puma, Levi Strauss & Co and Eurostar.
